Enjoying Fall

"And even when the trees have just surrendered
To the harvest time
Forfeiting their leaves in late September
And sending us inside
Still I notice You when change begins
And I am braced for colder winds
I will offer thanks for what has been and was to come
You are autumn "

- Nicole Nordeman

Mellow. Crisp. Vibrant. Change. Fall is in the air and we're taking advantage of every minute of it.

I made a mega batch of this applesauce today. Delicious (and easy)! I'm putting most in the freezer, so when all the leaves are gone we can still have a taste of fall. Next on my list is caramel apples. I didn't have much luck with them last year - anyone have any tips? They were tasty, but they looked awful...

I took the kiddos to Spring Grove Park the other day and they had a blast going on a nature walk with me. Luckily, I had my camera along and managed to get some cute photos. I love this one of Grace. She has been WAY into The Sound of Music lately and listens to her CD all.the.time. Here she is singing "Sixteen Going on Seventeen". I just love this smile!

I can hardly believe Jackson is almost 18 months old! He is growing up so much these days! He continues to be my little cuddler and I'm just trying to embrace every fleeting moment of this stage. He is such a little "engineer" - always trying to figure out how everything works (child locks and door knobs as well as toys)!

(I'm having issues uploading photos right now, so I'll have to post more later - I got quite a few cute ones)!

Laura, thanks SO much for the AP Resurrection Letters...I have enjoyed it so very much. I love the new pic of the kids at the top of the page and all your recommendations in the sidebar. We are using an old Seeds cd to learn Psalm 100 with the kids at church. You've inspired me to get one of their new cd's. Is this your favorite?

Also, do you facebook? I am being pressured to succumb...but have said no until we get a new computer.
